Me experience was pretty cool. The figures could have been used in an abstract manner, so you could have used them in whatever liking you want. Our group did a great job using the figures in a way that made sense to us and the audience.
My experience in envisioning our instulation was quit amusing. Making this instulation "come to life" was awesome. We each put our heads togeather to represent the evolution of life and i honestly think our did an awesome job of showing the evolution of mankind.
"Evolution of Mankind" The almighty dinosaurs once ruled the planet Earth. They were never hunted by anything or anyone. Their survvial and reproduction rate was so high that it seemed almost impossible for these dinosaurs to die off. However the dinosaurs weren't smart or strong enough to survive their biggest threat, nature. These huge rocks known as meteorites began to hit the Earth. The meteorites were so huge that they left holes (craters) in the ground. The dinosaurs weren't able to find shelter that was capable of with- standing the impact of meteorites, thus they were easily killed off. As the years passed, new species began to walk the Earth. Some of these species were monkey-like creatures, humans. Humans began to experiment with their natural resources and eventually made new discoveries. They began to gain so much knowledge that they began to reach high levels of intelligence. Inventions such as the car, atomic bomb and electronic devices (TV, radio, etc), were introduced. However, these new levels of intelligence not only helped the humans but also hurted them. They began to seperate themeselves. They formed nations that defended certain rights and beliefs of certain humans. These conflicts among the nations of the humans have prevented them from reaching higher levels of intelligence. As of now, they currently suffer from economy problems, religion and wars (conflicts among each nation).
It was very interesting how the group immediately interpreted your story about evolution without you having to tell them a thing. The visuals you set up told the story without words.
It was pretty hard having to envision how the toys were going to fit. And how people were going interpret our vision.
ReplyDeleteOK, but your group worked really well together. How did you solve the problem? Describe your process and how you did envision your story...

ReplyDeleteBe more specific, what happened that made it great? How did your group make your vision a successful reality with the installation?
